Welcome!
Jason Marr (Jay Marr on IMDB) is an actor, voice-over talent, acting coach, and fight choreographer based in Seattle. His work has been seen across the U.S. on stage, in short films, in a feature length film, and several commercials and corporate videos.
As a voice actor, Jason has recorded hundreds of voice-overs for TV, radio, and internet use. Voice Characteristics: straight forward, trustworthy, friendly, matter of fact, serious, tough, goofy, off beat; featuring abundant accents, dialects, and character voices.
Jason recently closed the world premiere of The Story of Edgar Sawtelle directed by Jane Jones, a co-pro between Vashon Rep and Book-It Rep in which he acted and created the fight choreography. Early summer found him performing in the play Passage in Strawberry Jam Director's Festival with Strawberry Theatre Workshop. Now he's gearing up for another roll around Seattle Public Theatre in a distressed tank top as 'John McLame' in the perpetually sold out A Very Die Hard Christmas, directed by Mark Siano. This will be the 6th season of Nerf and squirt gun shenanigans our Die Hards have come to expect. Jay Irwin with Broadway World says we'll have you "dying from laughter. With gags, antics, witty remarks, and tomfoolery" and Brendan Kiley with the Seattle Times says "Marr, as McClane, has an expert Bruce-Willis-lying-in-wait face."
In June Jason rejoined Film Vandals to shoot the short film "Don't Drink the Water" for the Geekapalooza Festival and in July filmed "Beanlievers" with them for the 48 Hour Film Festival. Last fall they shot "Invaders from Beyond the Sponge" which won Best of the Seattle 48 Hour Horror Film Project(!) among 8 other awards. He then went to the screening at Filmapolooza in Lisbon Portugal to represent the team and accept the 'Best of' award. In April he played a principal role in "One More Note" which screened to lots of buzz at the Harbor Island Studios grand opening event.
